Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data — pantry items, shopping lists, recipe history, and settings — will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Once deleted, your account and all associated data cannot be recovered. If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it first to avoid future charges.

What gets deleted

  • Your account profile (name, email)
  • All pantry items and expiry data
  • All shopping lists
  • Recipe history and preferences
  • Notification settings
  • All usage history and analytics

Data is permanently removed within 30 days of your request.

Before you delete

Please consider these options before permanently deleting your account:

  • Take a break — you can simply stop using the app. Your data will be here when you come back.
  • Cancel your subscription — if cost is the concern, downgrade to the free plan instead of deleting.
  • Contact support — if you're having trouble with the app, we'd love to help fix it.

How to delete your account

There are two ways to delete your account:

Option 1
Delete from the app (recommended)
  1. Open the KitchenSavor app on your phone
  2. Tap the More tab (bottom right)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Account Settings"
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm by entering your email address
  6. Tap "Delete My Account" to confirm
Option 2
Request deletion by email
  1. Email us at privacy@kitchensavor.app
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your account
  4. We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation

Cancel your subscription first

If you have an active Pro subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account to avoid future charges. Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play:

  • iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → KitchenSavor → Cancel Subscription
  • Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → KitchenSavor → Cancel

Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period, then revert to the free plan.
